“Just wow. We’re so lucky to be here.”

Case Study

True To Nature

Adventure Creative Agency reached out to us with hopes to launch an inspiring new brand campaign for the State of Washington. Branching beyond Seattle, into the mountains, the water, the rivers, where they could find themselves true to nature.

We created five films across washington state, working with different directors for each production in hopes to show unique perspectives and local flavors that forge unforgettable bonds and leave travelers wanting more.

Synopsis

Nature is a place to unwind, take a breath, and connect with yourself. But it also can be an important place to connect with your loved one. This short ad touches on the moments that draw us together and what makes taking a Trip and a break from our day to day life so important.

Real Stories

Each of the films within this campaign centered around real people’s stories. We worked with Weeble Mountain Casting Agnecy to find a couple that could not only hike up a mountain at sunset, but loved the nature in washington and was willing to share their connection to each other in that space.

Director Tim Kressin worked with the couple to find their unique story within that space. For Vamshi and Sarita, it turned personal. They hadn’t been away from their children for over ten years, and this was a dream trip that they never thought could happen.

In the end, we were able to get a real conversation about the importance of connecting in a place like Mt. Rainier for the health of their relationship.

Adventuring Out

A vacation in one of the most glaciated and elevated national parks in the lower 48 typically involves long days of hitting the trail. So we built a crew that was willing to hike six miles at sunset, and then turn around and hike back in the dark.

On our way back we stopped, turned off our headlamps and enjoyed complete silence under the full moon as it lit up the snow of Mt. Rainier.

The authentic experience of actually going there, made the moment at the all the more real for vamshi and Sarita.

San Juan Islands

Synopsis

Traveling can lead us to remarkable new and exotic experiences where we feel like we are in a different world. Strangely, at the same time it can somehow bring us home and welcome us into a new community - even if for a moment. That is what the san juans are capable of, making you feel like the world is a little smaller even in its vast beauty.

Island Time

The San Juan Islands are more than just a place we made an ad for, they are a place we personally deeply love. It’s where we’ve vacationed, camped, sailed, biked, swam and where Creative Director Tim got married. But what makes this place so unique isn’t just its unmatched natural beauty, it’s the culture of each shop owner and B&B host. With such a special place, we took great care to scour every nook and cranny and leave time in our schedule to be open and surprised by locals.

We’re so thankful to the ice cream shops and pizza stops who opened their doors and let us film. To the farmers market friends who shook our hands and came to dinner and became integral to the unique character that made the film so special.
